Caroline Wood, M.S.
Center Director

As director of the Mount Airy College Center for Health Care Education, Caroline Wood serves as the vital link between home colleges, faculty, staff and students. Passionate about the important role of the community college in lifelong learning and workforce development, she strives for the center to be a truly transformative place, where students learn the skills that will serve their careers and their communities alike.

Wood brings to the center more than five years of experience in student services and 15 years of managerial experience. Most recently, she served as interim director of Testing and Campus Information Services at Howard Community College. Prior to her career in higher education, Wood spent more than a decade in broadcast journalism.

Wood received her bachelor’s degree from Drew University and her master’s degree in Counselor Education from McDaniel College.

An advocate of community service, Wood also serves on the Board of Advisors for Choose Civility Howard County and is a volunteer with Leadership Howard County.
