About the Center
The Mount Airy College Center for Health Care Education is a unique collaboration between the community colleges of Carroll, Frederick and Howard Counties. By uniting the best health care programs from all three campuses, the center is helping to reduce a shortage of health care workers in Maryland, and providing graduates with the skills to sustain lifelong careers.

Mount Airy Faculty Member Wins American Chemical Society Award
Congratulations to Keri-Beth Pettengill, an associate professor of science and program manager for the Bioprocessing Technology Program at the Mount Airy College Center!
Keri-Beth has been named the 2014 winner of the George L. Braude Award, an award that recognizes faculty for innovative teaching strategies, mentoring and supporting students, and encouraging students to participate in undergraduate research. As the first community college faculty member to receive this award, she formally accepted the award on October 17 at the American Chemical Society Maryland Section 100th Anniversary Gala in Baltimore.
